Sunday March 16 Adult and Children Baptisms after the service

· Reconnect with the child within that is an expression of God
· Join with others as you recognize and sense your Oneness with the infinite in a beautiful, inspiring ceremony.
· Pre register by calling the church office

What is the significance of baptism in Religious Science? The baptism or christening ceremony is an outward ritual intended to reveal an inward unity of Spirit. Through the ceremony, we are recognizing the inherent divinity of the one christened. This outward ritual is an important reminder for everyone who is in attendance that the child of God, so evident in the precious being who is christened this day, is no different than the child that dwells within each of us. We can use this time as an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to the Truth of Life. Join us in this sacred time of reminder.

Friday March 21 Spiritual Cinema Night 7 pm

The movie this month is THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS

The POWER of FORGIVENESS includes feature stories on the Amish, the 9/11 tragedy, and peace-building in Northern Ireland, along with interviews with renowned Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh, Nobel Peace Laureate Elie Wiesel, best-selling authors Thomas Moore and Marianne Williamson, Azim Khamisa, and others. It explores the role forgiveness holds in various faith traditions and examines how the scientific community is now measuring the physical and mental benefits of letting go of grief and resentment.

The POWER of FORGIVENESS examines the role forgiveness can play in alleviating anger and grief, as well as the physical, mental and spiritual benefits that come with forgiveness. It combines character-driven stories about the most dramatic transgressions imaginable with other stories that feel more familiar, more understandable to the viewer.

The POWER of FORGIVENESS won Best Film award at the Sun Valley Film Festival last year. This film was shown in limited release in late 2007 and is now having a broader distribution as a part of a national "Campaign for Love and Forgiveness".

SPECIAL NOTE: New Dawn's Spiritual Cinema Night in March is part of a special series of events done in partnership with the Denver Church of Religious Science to celebrate the Seasons for Peace and Non-Violence. In addition to viewing this powerful 78 minute film, we will conclude the evening with a guided peace meditation that is sure to anchor the concepts of peace and forgiveness into our consciousness.
