Volunteer Opportunities

Throughout the year there are many opportunities to serve here at New Dawn Center for Spiritual Living, as well as the community at large.

Purpose & Mission

It takes a village... we believe in unity. It is our intention to not only serve our own spiritual community, but to be a light in our local community, as well as a light in the global community.

About Us

New Dawn Center for Spiritual Living is blessed with an abundance of opportunities to serve, grow and be a part of a community with like-minded individuals. Below is a list and description of each with current activities. If you are interested in volunteering for any of these groups or any other service opportunities at New Dawn Center for Spiritual Living, please contact individuals listed, the office at 303-369-8222, or email us at info@scienceofmind.org.

Care Ministry
An essential part of our teachings is the importance to give back to the community. Our care ministry allows a coordinated approach to New Dawn Center for Spiritual Living being of service to the community of Aurora and beyond. Although we take on special one time projects, there are some of the projects that we do as a central part to our ongoing "giving back." These include the following:
- Cuddly Hugs (providing love infused stuffed bears to local hospice)
- Providing backpacks to needy students of Crawford Elementary and women of the Gateway Battered Women’s Shelter
- Giving Tree providing Christmas presents for Gateway Battered Women’s Shelter
- Providing and serving food to the needy at Thanksgiving
- Bread on the Water (see below)
- And many others...

For more information on our Care Ministry and the programs listed above contact the center.

Bread Upon the Water
Bread On the Water (BOTW), part of our Care Ministry, is our first IN Reach Ministry. Although BOTW is a new ministry with visioning and development ongoing, we are ready to provide services to New Dawn Center for Spiritual Living members and attendees experiencing crisis or incapacitation due to illness, accident, surgery, rehab or hospital stay.

All members of our New Dawn community are invited to fill in a Volunteer Information form to let us know how you would like to be of service to other community members in time of crisis. You can email them to the church office or fill one in at a Sunday Service.

Requests for Assistance should be directed to the church office at 303-369-8222. Both of these forms are available online or in the Gathering Room. The nature of the support we can provide includes delivering meals, run errands, welfare visits, assistance with shopping, making/sending cards, assisted care facility/rehab visits, and other incidental support that may be requested. When pastoral care/spiritual guidance is requested, these fulfilled by our ministers and licensed practitioners.

If you would like more information, look for the Visioning/Development Team members wearing the BOTW name tags at Sunday Services, forms in the gathering room, come to a meeting the 1st Tuesday of every month, or contact the development team organizer: Connie Dellinger at 303-690-5558 or cmdellinger@comcast.net.

Men’s Ministry
The purpose of the New Dawn Men’s ministry is to offer an opportunity for like-minded men to come together for the purposes of spiritual growth, service to the church community and the community at large, and to have fun! The men come together monthly on the second Saturday morning of every month. For more information on current activities of the men’s group as well as the time and location of the next meeting, contact Lance Fenske at 303.741.8945 (home) or 720.203.2949 (cell).

Fiber Arts Ministry
The Fiber Arts Ministry is comprised of women knitting or crocheting for PEACE. We are knitting to make a difference in the lives of women and people in need. As a result of this ministry the women of New Dawn are finding that their lives are being transformed by the fellowship and the service to others. One group meets during the day and another group meets on Monday nights. For more information, contact the church office. For more information on this project, contact the center office.

Sacred Service Ministry
At New Dawn Center for Spiritual Living, we believe that as with all aspects of your life, "what you give is what you get." Pathway to Inspired Living

This is a two part complementary class that introduces you to the practical philosophy of the Science of Mind and Spirit and the services and programs of New Dawn Center for Spiritual Living.

First Sunday of the Month from Noon-1:30pm:

What happened to the dreams that you imagined when you were young? If you are not living them would you like to re-ignite the passion of those dreams or dream even greater ones? You can live the life that you always imagined.

Ernest Holmes said, "There is a power for Good in the Universe greater than you are, and you can use it."

This session, will introduce you to how to use that Power that is within just waiting for your direction. You can create and live your inspired dreams today.

Third Sunday of the Month Noon-1:30pm:

New Dawn Center for Spiritual Living offers many spiritual resources and opportunities for everyone to experience our commitment to "Renewing Minds, Igniting Souls, and Inspiring Dreams,"

If this is something that interests you, learn more about who we are, what we teach and how we may assist you on your spiritual journey.

Sign up for either session or both on Sundays or by calling the center office.
